Rita Madarász's exhibition deals with our attachment to and detachment from materiality as digital technology takes over the space. An interactive installation of woven textiles explores new ways of approaching our engagement with textiles by allowing the structure to interact with its environment without touching it. The work expresses the transitional state of alienation from physical materials, where the hand-woven structure and the human are still present in direct physical space, but the relationship is indirect, abandoning the most basic form of perception associated with textiles, touch.
