Doku7 Film Festival - Documentary Film Weeks in Erzsébetváros!
Every Thursday from 6 February to 20 March 2025, award-winning documentaries will be screened in K11! Doku7 2025 will bring to the audience films that tell the stories of everyday heroes among us, people who work every day to make the world a better place, the lives of those around them and the world around them.

Call me Lawand! (UK, 2022, 91')
Five-year-old Lawand longs for a world where there are people like him - people who understand him. Unable to communicate with the world around her, including her parents, she can't understand why she is the only one, why other children bully her. Lawand hasn't heard anything since birth. His fears are heightened when he and his family flee Iraq for Derby, England. But from there, a whole new story begins: the little boy starts attending a school for the deaf, where he discovers he may not be alone. A new world opens up to him, where friendship exists, where life can be joyful, where he can be a charming, gifted child. But the authorities don't think so: they want to expel them from the country. Now it's up to Lawand to make sure his struggle doesn't fall on deaf ears.
