Schedule
Teri Oma (Hungary, 2003, 58'Ö
Grandma Teri is leaving. Between life and death. Like half asleep, between sleep and wakefulness. Her body is here, her spirit halfway. She is cared for by her daughter Paula, a youthful 60-something. For two years she has been changing her diapers, washing her, serving her mother.
From Grandma Teri's mind, shrouded in fog, waves of astonishingly wise, heartbreaking thoughts. Is she formulating them now, or are they deeply encoded, long years ingrained in her mind, and now, in their half-clear moment, are they bursting forth? It's as if a philosopher's fragmentary dream is appearing before us. Then again the silence, the introspective moments, insanity, disorientation, hallucination, and slow death.
