hiperkarma - Valentine's Day Concert

Hyperkarma is undoubtedly one of the most influential alternative bands of our time, owing its success to its lyrics, which can be interpreted as poetry, and its ability to constantly innovate. The band, led by Robi Bérczesi, has been in existence for more than 20 years, and during this time the original line-up has gone through many ups and downs, and several member changes. Robi's songs openly tell us about our innermost anxieties, life's most pressing questions and about running away from our own demons.

Their first album, Hyper Karma, debuted in 2000 and was repeatedly cited as one of the most important albums of the decade, followed three years later by Amondo, which, if possible, surpassed the success of its predecessor. The latter followed a more than 10-year hiatus in the life of Hyperkarma due to the frontman's undisclosed drug problems; the band's songs clearly trace Robi's withdrawal and decline, and the process of finding his voice again. After the hiatus, the band released their third album, Konyharegény, in 2014, followed by Délibáb three years later and The Sunlit Part in 2019, which in many ways marked a turning point in the sound of hyper-rock. For the lyrics of the title track of the latter album, Róbert Bérczesi received the Artisjus Award in 2019.
