The Last Hiding Place - Bukowski Poems
The text of the performance draws on the poetry of Charles Bukowski. Translated by Péter Pritz, the performance is based on the writings of the 2013 volume Mixed Sliced Meat.
The book is not available at the moment, so those who are not familiar with these poems can get to know them in an authentic interpretation.
The performance conveys the real power, nuance and diversity of Bukowski's poetry, which is an equal combination of authenticity, literature and classical music. It is at once shocking and vulgar, devastating and uplifting, dull and life-affirming, acerbically humorous and painfully honest.
