The editorial duo of Mária Magdolna Gondos and Mátyás Sirokai started their collaboration at the FISZ-Könyvek Series in 2019, where they have been editing the debut books of several young authors. This year, Botond Pinczési will ask the outgoing editors about their work, lessons learned and challenges of the past years. During the programme we will try to give an insight into what makes FISZ unique.

***📚19:00 The book launch of The Boy Who Wanted to Tell All. Ágnes Hansági, literary historian, will talk to the author, Krisztina Kiss A. Hansági about why it is worth getting to know Jókai's figure and life even in childhood, whether this might make it easier to absorb his works later on, and why Mór Jókai's work is still inescapable in Hungarian literature.

Móra Publishing, celebrating its 75th birthday this year, wanted to commemorate Mór Jókai, a writer born 200 years ago, in an unusual way, and the new volume presents his life from a completely new perspective, in a form that can be told to children aged 6-8. Kriszta A. Kiss, whose research focuses on Mór Jókai's autobiographical prose, uses original quotations from Jókai to present the most exciting moments of Mór Jókai's life, accompanied by commentaries by a strange character, Márton Kakas. The volume was supervised by Ágnes Hansági, one of the most respected researchers of Mór Jókai's work today. Viktória Takács' richly detailed, colourful illustrations complete the book.
