What instruments are there?
Every good child knows that if you hit a pot with a wooden spoon, it rings. In fact, if you do it a lot, the neighbour is likely to join in. (Whether with words or with a knock back is a separate issue!) So most children are introduced to percussion at an early age. In fact, if we want to be even more scientific, we could say the world of idiophonic instruments. (Watch out for the word endings when talking to your neighbour!)

However, ordinary kids don't stop there, they soon discover how nice and guttural their sound becomes when they blow into a beer bottle/tube/plastic thingy from a grandma, i.e. they also soon discover how aerophonic instruments work. And if the neighbour still hasn't moved by now, there's usually no stopping them from trying out stringed - caution, technical term: cordophone - instruments.
However, there are many more aspects to talking about musical instruments than that, and we think it's very worthwhile. After all, Mátyás Sőnfeld, musician, music educator and creator of the Zenebatyu programme, will soon prove that anything can be an instrument in the right hands!
So, for the fourth edition of Hangadó Junior's fun family show, we're going to take on this big challenge - and we hope it will be a lot of laughter! Once again, Feri Tarr, concert teacher at the House of Music, will be the host of the show.
