"The heroes of my story are angels. Yes, unemployed guardian angels, who have been working in Berlin since the end of the war, as God left them. Then one fine day one of the angels falls in love. He meets a trapeze artist who performs in a circus with angel wings on her dress. He finds this very amusing, and he likes her very much. But in order to fall in love with her, she has to become mortal, like all earthly beings. He faces a difficult decision..." (Wim Wenders)
