The Gheorgheni Artists' Colony, which has been operating for 50 years, has become an internationally renowned concept. Located in the heart of Transylvania, in the picturesque surroundings of the Gheorghe Basin, the Artists' Camp has always been a place of dialogue and listening to each other, where everyone, regardless of nationality, can feel at home. The secret of the Artists' Camp is free creation, mutual appreciation and continuous artistic dialogue. In the mid-1990s, the Artists' Colony went beyond its local confines and became universal; artists from many countries in Europe, America and even the Far East come to Transylvania to be inspired by the forces of nature and to create something lasting. The wide range of genres in the material in the jubilee exhibition is a fitting representation of the idea of 'mountainousness', which takes the landscape as its starting point to show the universal values of the art scene.
