MORE WOMEN ON BICYCLES! - Women's Day Bike Parade
The aim of the Women's Day bike ride is to make it visible: Budapest belongs to women too! The proportion of women cycling in the city is lower than men, but it doesn't have to be!
🚲 Why are we cycling?
Transport systems are still often designed for men's travel habits, even though women's transport is different: they make more short trips, often combining commuting with other daily tasks. If a city's infrastructure does not support flexible, safe and convenient transport, many people are discouraged from cycling.
This needs to change! We are cycling for a more liveable, safer Budapest - and for everyone to experience cycling as a convenient, fast and free mode of transport!
