COLLAGE GARDEN ⎮ Workshop with Nóra Fábián

On the last weekend of March, we invite you to a collage garden – more precisely, to your own personal and unique garden, which we will bring to life through collage.

This workshop is inspired by spring and the enchanting collage garden of Hannah Höch, the renowned collage and montage artist in Berlin. For Höch, her garden was not just a sanctuary but also a source of inspiration and a space for creative experimentation.

During our collage session, we will freely combine different elements, experiment with unexpected arrangements, and even explore three-dimensional collage techniques.

Beyond this creative garden journey, the workshop aims to inspire, recharge, and connect us—with ourselves and with each other.

Workshop Details:

🌿 Theme: Collage Garden

🎨 No artistic skills required, no need to bring tools

📖 Special papers, magazines, and inspirations will be provided

👥 Maximum capacity: 10 participants

💰 Participation is donation-based (Suggested donation: 4,000-6,000 HUF per person, covering material costs. If the fee is a barrier but you’d love to join, reach out to Nóra via email—you’ll find her contact at the end of the event description.)

🗓 Date & Time: March 29 (Saturday) – 13:00-16:00

📍 Location: Kastner Kommunity, in the upstairs meeting room

✨ Delicious coffee, snacks, and drinks are available for purchase at the venue. Supporting the café not only treats yourself but also helps sustain Kastner Kommunity's creative space, which means a lot to us!

Workshop Schedule:

• Arrival, tuning in, inspiration
• Flipping through magazines, cutting/tearing images, arranging & gluing elements
• Admiring & discussing the finished pieces
• Breaks anytime as needed

About Collage & Nóra

I started experimenting with collage techniques in 2020, creating series of works. I was immediately fascinated by the rich and complex associations this method offers. Images chosen intuitively gain new layers of meaning when combined, often reflecting our experiences in surprisingly accurate ways. Collage helps us connect with our emotions.

It’s also an accessible art form, easy to dive into, and a wonderful way to repurpose paper—in the best possible way! I could talk about this for hours, so let’s continue the conversation in person.
