◖ Táncház: Amor Fati || Táncház a szabadban ◗

2025-05-22T17:00:00.000Z

This year, the free open-air Dance House will continue on the open-air stage of the House of Music from May to September, with the amor fati orchestra playing music for the first time, and Katica Nagy and Bence Plaszkó helping with dance instruction.

Fatima Szalay, the life creator of amor fati, released her first album amor fati in December 2023 under the auspices of Hangvető.

The album is a vivid testimony about the love of music, emotions, musical homeyness and the intertwining of all these. The title of the album is a play on words with the singer's name, but it also reflects the awareness that characterises the whole concept. The band's repertoire is defined not only by Hungarian folk music, but also by an openness to the music of the ethnic groups that live with us and have the greatest impact on us.

These peoples have been shaping Hungarian culture and music for hundreds of years, so the album also includes Turkish, Romanian, Gypsy and Croatian songs. In addition to authentic Hungarian folk music, the album also includes poetry, world music and sung fairy tales.

Schedule

The members of the orchestra are active young musicians who have been involved in several folk and world music formations, who are committed to the cause of Hungarian folk music, but who are also keen to experiment with other genres. In the orchestra, the authentic folk music is represented more strongly by the string section - Pál Danhauser, Domonkos Bálint László, Máté Tóth - who will play during the evening, while László Szlama and Bendegúz Avas strengthen the world music section.
