Budapest100 walking day x Budapest Tree Festival
This May, for the first time ever, the Budapest Tree Festival is waiting for visitors, join the Budapest100 Walking Day debut and celebrate the city's trees together!
In two dozen free urban walks covering most of the capital, the country's top experts will tell you why urban trees should be celebrated and protected.

Schedule
It is perhaps not news that urban trees are incredibly good friends to us city dwellers, but we are less aware of this and even less grateful to them. We take for granted what is, unfortunately, no longer natural. After all, urban green space is the best tool we have to mitigate the effects of global climate change, and protecting forests and mature trees that provide environmental, health, economic and social benefits is the most important ecological task.
It's easier to protect what we love... and there's plenty to celebrate!
It is simply good to exist under and among trees, as poets have sung so many times. This will also be discussed, but the main purpose of the walks is to rethink our relationship with trees, as climate change encourages us to do in all other areas of life.
The walks are open by registration and registration opens in early May.
