Hungarian audiences will have the opportunity to experience the famous songs of “Belle”, “Danse mon Esmeralda” and “Le temps des cathédrales” in their original French language. The world premiere took place that same year at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, where it was a huge success, with eight consecutive weeks of performances, sold out months in advance.

The French version broke ticket sales records in its first year and has been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. The iconic song “Belle” was hailed as the best song of the 20th century in France.

Notre Dame de Paris is a legendary French-Canadian musical created by Riccardo Cocciante and Luc Plamondon, based on the classic novel by Victor Hugo. Since its premiere in Paris in 1998, the production has captivated more than 12 million people worldwide. In its 20-year history, the musical has sold more than 11 million CDs and DVDs and has been performed more than 5,000 times in 20 different countries. It has been translated into nine languages.
The original production of the musical Notre Dame contains 200 tonnes of sets, which travel the world in seven huge transport vehicles to a wide variety of performing arts venues.
