Folk dance group - East-West Creative Workshop

Schedule
Only through their culture of movement can members of a community really get to know each other.
Throughout our history, Hungarian folk dancing has not only been used as a form of entertainment or a way of getting to know each other: in a small community, these dance occasions have been the most bonding events.
This folk dance group is ideal for anyone who wants to learn about our cultural heritage in an active, moving and fun way. Young dance teacher Tamás Lugosi-Nagy Lugosi-Nagy, who is familiar with the often uncomfortable folk dance lessons of primary school, will be revising the experience of the "Cut to the Point" sessions. In the meantime, he also entertains with humorous anecdotes about the different regions he has collected. At the end of the sessions, there will also be the indispensable "ball scene", the dance chaza, when participants can freely use what they have learned to ask each other to dance.
Tamás's explicit aim is for as many people as possible to experience the joyful communal experience of folk dance, where everyone can feel good in their own bodies.
Participation in 4 classes per month costs 8.000ft/person/month (3 classes per session).
To register, please email [email protected].
The classes are held every Wednesday between 18:00-21:00 at the MANYI Cultural Workshop (1027 Budapest, Margit körút 16.).
You are welcome!
Location
MANYI
Se nem foglaltház, se nem romkocsma, de mindenképpen olyan közösségi tér és kultúrgócpont, ami olyan egykori történelmi helyek hagyományát viszi tovább, mint a Kultiplex vagy a West Balkán.
