Night of Literature 2025
ℹ️ For the tenth time, the Night of Literature invites you to take an unusual journey through world literature: this year's programme will feature excerpts from the works of 2️⃣6️⃣ authors from 2️⃣6️⃣ countries over three summer evenings. This year, the event will once again be held in the 2nd district of Budapest. Following last year's success, the focus will remain in the district, with a focus on other special and interesting venues in the neighbourhood of Margaret Quarter and Széll Kálmán Square, with a short detour to the neighbouring XII district.
Schedule
The pieces of art, which highlight the many shades of the world literary palette, are brought to life by theatre artists who regularly perform at the 👉JURÁNYI HOUSE and 👉MARGIT NEGYEDBEN in venues that are integral to the district's image.

* The readings will take place from 19:00 - 23:00 in parallel 9️⃣ in different locations.
* At each location, an excerpt of a particular author's work will be read 8 times, starting at 19:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 21:30, 22:00, 22:30.
* Each venue will offer a taste of literature from a different country on different days.
* You can plan your own literary itinerary for the day, using a printed map.
* Participation in the programme is free of charge and does not require registration.
