AREA OF WATER ~ Immersed feelings art workshop

~ A principle in philosophy is that which comes from or is created by something, on which something is built; the beginning, the primary element: such is water.

~ What does the element water mean to you? How do you relate to this quality? Join us and learn the techniques of ink immersion, ink wash and watercolour! Paint and immerse yourself in your imagination, dreams and instincts!

~ In our series of four art workshops we will first explore the quality of the element water. What qualities and feelings do we associate with it? How do we connect to this vital, instinctive, sometimes just a trickle, sometimes a flood of intuitive energy?

~ Through different creative techniques, we explore our own relationships: we ink and watercolour; we wash, flow, paint and splash - weaving new meanings into the images. We discuss emotions, dreams and intuitions in relation to the works, and explore historical precedents, astrological and art historical examples.

~ No prior art training is required to participate; come and create freely, techniques will be demonstrated, and we will be there to help you throughout the creative process!

Important: the session is not an (art) therapy session/process.

Participation in the workshop requires registration.
