Budaro Designers’ Market series at the Hengermalom
On Sunday, June 29, the Budaro Designers’ Market series moves to the Hengermalom venue, bringing together emerging and established talents from the Hungarian design scene. Alongside a vibrant selection of design, screenings, music, and workshops will help set the mood.

This year, for the second time, the Budaro design market series is taking over Újbuda, once again welcoming enthusiastic market-goers with both emerging, new and well-established designers and brands from the Hungarian design scene. On June 29, a beautiful summer Sunday, we’re moving into the iconic industrial complex of Hengermalom. Filled with screenings, music and a mini workshop the day goes beyond the usual market experience. Meet us from the cool indoor zones to the sunlit courtyard.

The participating designers will cover a wide range of products: visitors can browse and choose from a selection of home decor items, prints, textiles, ceramics, jewelry, books, and photography.

Join in on some collaborative creativity during the market! A selection of awesome Hungarian illustrators and graphic artists are bringing the outlines and themes, while you are in charge of colors. Find the coloring station in the courtyard, grab some pencils, and take your co-created masterpiece home with you!

Ákos Karancz began performing as Pilot Voyager in the summer of 2019, and has since released several jam albums with Psychedelic Source Records. His sound is built around solo, improvisational guitar music, processed through layers of modulation until it sounds like the echoes of an orchestra, playing in space 16,000 years ago.
The list of vendors is continuously expanding, and we reserve the right to make changes to the program. Please note that not all designers will accept card payments – bringing cash is recommended. This series of events is organized by the Balka collective with the support of the Bartók District.
Hengermalom
Hengermalom was once the bread of the town. Today it is a mysterious structure that tells the story of Kelenföld, the city and the river. A new story begins among the huge concrete blocks: the empty cylinders are soon filled with our shared ideas.
