Born in Liverpool with a penchant for mischief, Luvcat ran away with a Parisian circus on the eve of her sixteenth birthday. There she became a magician's assistant for several years.

After a secret, ill-fated affair with the circus director, Luvcat performed one last disappearing act and fled across the ocean to the heart of London by train. She returned to social life and, inspired by the dark, playful romanticism of Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, and The Cure, Luvcat began writing songs about her travels and the lovers and libertines she met along the way.

Óbudai Island, also known as Hajógyári Island, is an island in the Danube in the administrative district of Budapest III. Óbudaisziget is also a part of the city of Budapest. It is a popular place for excursions, but it is not because of this that it has become better known, but because of the Sziget Festival, which has been held here every year since 1993.
