Schedule

The hugely successful “Salsa in the Park” dance program will continue to entertain Latin music fans this summer and early fall on the Zene Háza Open-Air Stage. At these free events in 2026, the program will feature not only the Budapest-based Son Tres band but also Latin sets by Jose Dj Cuba and dance lessons by Bea. DJ sets and live band performances will alternate throughout the event. Son Tres has toured all over Europe; the band’s members include artists with Venezuelan, Cuban, and Colombian roots who bring passionate and vibrant Latin rhythms to the audience. The members of Son Tres guarantee a wild atmosphere at every party as they play bachata, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, and other Latin styles—with a special focus on salsa this time!

Guillermo Macsotay, a singer and bandleader, was born in Venezuela to a Hungarian father and a Venezuelan mother. He studied music at the ArsNova School in Venezuela, as well as in the United States and Hungary, and has achieved success with various salsa and fusion bands. One of Hungary’s finest fusion pianists, he graduated from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest and took his first steps in the music world with Aladár Pege’s band, where he played as a professional pianist for more than 15 years. Today, he not only specializes in Latin music but has also released two solo albums. Angel Miguel León Cruz, a Cuban percussionist with a long career, originally began his career with the Austria-based, world-renowned Havana Son Club, with which he toured the world representing Cuban culture. Aldober Acevedo, a Colombian bassist, composer, and musician, has had a long career playing with bands such as Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, as well as Grupo Niche. In the late 1990s, he moved to Asia, where he performed in Thailand, China, and Southeast Asia; he currently lives in Budapest. The trio will be joined by pianist Zsolt Koloncsák for this performance.
