Schedule

In 2021, the FÜGE production and umbrella organisation organised the first edition of the festival with the involvement of several partners, entitled Mothers Only1, where theatre performances, discussions and workshops explored the topic of parenthood and non-parenthood without taboos.

In the second edition, the perspective is broadened: the family and the individual's position and scope within it become a broadly understood theme in the context of society.

We address the impact of economic frameworks, social expectations, traditions and prejudices on the individual, which influence roles within the family and the system of relations to the family as a micro-environment. At the same time, the individual's responsibility towards the environment, his or her role within the family and his or her social role will be examined.

In addition to the invited theatre performances, the programme will also include closed workshops and public discussions, as well as opportunities for meeting the recipients, participants and creators. We are also broadening the geographical scope of the programme: in addition to theatres in the capital, we will also involve partners from the countryside and, in addition to presenting works from the country, we will broaden the programme to an international level.

Location

Jurányi House

The Jurányi Production Community Incubator House has become a key venue in the capital's cultural life, a vibrant hub of the contemporary art scene.

Our aim in creating the Jurányi was to find a stable, shared home for the independent theatre and creative arts sector, providing the infrastructure necessary for its day-to-day operations. We wanted to create a cultural centre in the Buda area, a "contemporary art house" where theatre-loving young people could spend a few hours over a coffee or even a theatre performance, a creative children's activity or an acrobatic movement class, thus re-filling the abandoned educational institution with an active community life.

Jurányi is more than just a theatre in Buda, it is a creative and creative base where visitors can enjoy a varied artistic, community, and educational program, in addition to a regular repertoire of 300 productions a year. We are proud that the Jurányi House is now a graduation subject in some art schools.
