The music of sweetlife blends various influences – jazz is combined with dub effects

and electronics, free-jazz practices meet complex rhythmic patterns and beats. For this concert a lot of new music from their upcoming album (autumn 2025) can be heard, as well as music from their first EP (released nov. 2024)

Moriel is stylistically versatile, trained in jazz and classical music, and highly active in

the field of contemporary/experimental music. With the goal of developing a

distinctive and modern sound, she began working on the live project sweetlife in 2022, which now brings together four of the most promising artists of Austria’s young jazz generation. Constant work is done to explore sound expansion and push the boundaries of traditional instrumentation and composition concepts, drawing inspiration from the innovative spirit of jazz and the experimental, open-minded jazz scene of today.
