Night of shooting stars: the Perseids are reaching their peak

2025-08-11T18:30:00.000Z

On the night of the Perseid meteor shower, we will follow the trail of shooting stars! We can deepen our knowledge of the origin of the Perseid meteor shower, and during our meteorite examination, we can even hold freshly fallen "shooting stars" in our hands! As darkness falls, we will observe the most beautiful star clusters and planetary nebulae of the summer sky through telescopes. We will marvel at the most beautiful craters and seas of our waning moon and admire the rising Saturn. With a laser pointer, we will search for the most beautiful summer constellations. Meanwhile, those with keen eyesight can lie down on blankets on the grass to observe the Perseids falling on the night of the full moon.

Meteorite examination – hold stones from space in your hands!

Nighttime telescope observation

The most beautiful double stars in the summer sky: Izar, Double Double, Ras Algethi, Albireo, Gamma Delphini

Star clusters and globular clusters sparkling with stars: Captain Hook's Cluster, Wild Duck Cluster, Shoulder Blade, M13 Globular Cluster. The most beautiful gas nebula in the Summer Milky Way: Cygnus Nebula

Cosmic gas bubbles of planetary nebulae: Ring Nebula, Blinking Nebula

On the waning Moon, we observe the magnificent rim mountains of Mare Crisium (Sea of Crises) and the complex, ancient crater ring of Janssen. The razor-thin ring of Saturn rising. Laser star tour among the constellations of the summer sky!

In case of cloudy weather: our event will take place regardless of the weather, as our interactive program venues are always accessible. In cloudy weather, instead of observing celestial bodies through telescopes, we offer a dome tour, video observation through telescopes, spectroscopic light source observation through telescopes, and a thematic lecture!
