Bartók Feszt' 2025
This year, Bartók Feszt’ is organized around the theme of ‘collectivity and sharing,’ because we believe that the city is built from the commons.
“Tesz-Vesz town residents help each other a lot. (...) If something unpleasant happens in the city, it always gets solved.”
There was a time when a ladder was not only a tool but also a community currency. The neighbor skilled in electrical work would come when needed, and in return, he would get homemade preserves. Knowledge, time, food, and attention naturally changed hands. This everyday vitality is what we now call the culture of sharing.
For quite some time, we have been working to bring this back. The Bartók district may not be the fully realized Tesz-Vesz town, but it is a local community where knowledge, help, and tools regularly pass from hand to hand and circulate.
That is why this year the Festival is not only about the traditional big concerts, the all-day buzz, the local flavors and faces, but also about bringing local resources even more to the surface, and connecting them so the district can grow further. There will be a flea market, open workshops, shared crafts, children’s programs, adult workshops… This is what we invite you to on the last Saturday of August.
