On September 24 at 6:00 PM, the Meg-Ki Film Club at Barátság Cinema kicks off its new season with the documentary Festival Nation! Following the screening, director Attila Csizmadia will join an audience discussion, moderated by Nóra Gruber from SZKKK.
The film showcases the human stories behind Hungary’s festival culture: how freedom was built from dust, what drives organizers and performers – passion or business? Voices featured include:
Károly Gerendai, András Lovasi, Blahalouisiana, Halott Pénz, Bagossy Brothers Company, Quimby, Beton.Hofi, Pogány Induló, Norbert Lobenwein, Zoltán Fülöp, Péter Müller Sziámi, István Márta.
The film club is open to all; no membership card is required to attend, though members can purchase tickets at a discounted price of HUF 800.
