PREMIERE: Salem – a theatrical board game
Let there be no talk of witches that do not exist.
In a peaceful small community, all hell breaks loose when a group of young girls are accused of attempted murder and poisoning. According to them, every one of their actions was influenced by external forces. Suspicion, fear, and mistrust soon disturb the village’s calm.
Who could be responsible for the growing number of deaths? Who might have an interest in seeing the village’s respected leaders die prematurely? Could what was once thought to be a well-functioning, loving community be hiding secrets beneath the surface?

The culprits must be found before the community takes justice into its own hands. Outsiders arrive to uncover the truth and name the guilty. A court is formed to seek out the evil that—according to them—has infiltrated their midst. Yet the culprit’s identity may not be as clear-cut as they first believed.
But can the will of the crowd be stopped with reason and logic? Can the individual oppose the will of the community? Does absolute truth exist—or does every verdict carry doubt within itself?
Salem is a theatrical board game that guides us into the world of medieval witch trials. The performance explores the mechanisms of group pressure, gossip, and collective fear through a courtroom trial. The audience remains active participants throughout the story. As members of the tribunal, they can make decisions, vote on how the story unfolds, and determine the fate of the accused—entirely with their judgment.

Jurányi House
The Jurányi Production Community Incubator House has become a key venue in the capital's cultural life, a vibrant hub of the contemporary art scene.
Our aim in creating the Jurányi was to find a stable, shared home for the independent theatre and creative arts sector, providing the infrastructure necessary for its day-to-day operations. We wanted to create a cultural centre in the Buda area, a "contemporary art house" where theatre-loving young people could spend a few hours over a coffee or even a theatre performance, a creative children's activity or an acrobatic movement class, thus re-filling the abandoned educational institution with an active community life.
Jurányi is more than just a theatre in Buda, it is a creative and creative base where visitors can enjoy a varied artistic, community, and educational program, in addition to a regular repertoire of 300 productions a year. We are proud that the Jurányi House is now a graduation subject in some art schools.
