Schedule

The search for places in the city that was foreign to the artists in residence, became a common theme for all three in Budapest. Šlechtová works with the universal motif of the egg as a container or time capsule, which is inherently feminine, conveying safety and care, but also determining a period of time. By depicting a transitional stage, she moves away from figurative representation and creates small rather introspective and repetitive works. Mietrup and Michel work as a duo to capture the atmosphere of the city, which they have documented through photographic research, focusing on shared interests such as urban infrastructure, facade textures, and architectural elements. They translate these into sculptural objects and combine them with sound compositions.

Since places are never timeless, rhythm and temporality also emerge as essential elements. In the Nest exhibition space, these different works are woven together into a joint installation, a space that connects inner and outer perspectives, where different views and experiences overlap.
