MANCY SONO
Mancy Sono's concerts in Prague take listeners on a deep, trance-like emotional journey. Through intense textures and undulating melodies, their music heightens the experience to the point of emotional paralysis, then draws the audience into an imaginary film score woven from sounds. Although their blend of post-rock, ambient, drone, and metal may seem loud and intense at first, it actually reveals an extremely sensitive, personal, and intimate world. This instrumental music requires no words; each performance is a kind of candid confession.
The band acts as a kind of mediator, creating a shared ritual in which members of the audience become active participants in an inner journey—a space where inner worlds can converge. Along the way, they are guided by densely layered yet delicate melodies and musical details.
Schedule
Their debut album, sonder/ajzn, was released in 2023 on their own label, /|\nabasis. Since then, they have become an indispensable part of the Czech underground scene, performing at numerous clubs and festivals (Brutal Assault, Transforma, Hradby samoty, #5PROSTOR...). Their concerts quickly became famous for their captivating, intense atmosphere.
The band is currently working on a conceptual EP, the first single from which, drip drip drop drop, is already available to listen to.
