Baritone Ludovic Tézier takes the stage in the November edition of Starry Nights with Piano. The artist has sung the greatest baritone roles in the opera repertoire: he has played Jago, Scarpia, Anyegin, Don Giovanni, Rigoletto, Simon Boccanegra, the Count in The Marriage of Figaro, Ford in Verdi's Falstaff, Yeletsky in The Queen of Spades, Germont, Wolfram, Marquis Posa and Amfortas. He has performed at such renowned opera houses as the Metropolitan in New York, the Vienna State Opera, the Paris National Opera, the German Opera in Berlin, La Scala in Milan, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Covent Garden in London, and the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. He is also a regular guest at numerous festivals, including those in Salzburg, Bregenz, and Glyndebourne. During his performance in Budapest at the end of autumn, he will treat visitors to the Opera House to a special selection of arias and songs.

Hungarian State Opera

The Hungarian State Opera House is the only theatre in Hungary with a large company, specialising in operas and ballets. The building is one of Budapest's most important 19th century monuments. It was built in neo-Renaissance style according to the plans of Miklós Ybl. The richly decorated interior was designed by renowned Hungarian artists, including Mór Than, Károly Lotz and Bertalan Székely.
