Schedule

Common Treasure is a recurring event series rooted in the tangible sharing of knowledge, shaped by a commitment to accessible education, free artistic exploration, and cultural diversity. We learn from one another, we teach one another - creating a space where practicing our collective knowledge becomes an act of district-level, community solidarity.

DECEMBER TOPIC: IMAGINATION

Where does imagination find space in our lives? What do we really mean by “imagination”?

It matters what environment and culture we grow up in when it comes to how we relate to imagination and free will. Which comes first: personal self-fulfilment, or sustaining how a community functions? Can the two coexist side by side?

At the last Common Treasure session before the holidays, we’ll move, drift, and create—exploring the questions above, and how reality can be born from imagination.

DETAILS COMING SOON!

More about the series:

Common Treasure is an open “self-education circle” where both theoretical and practical knowledge-sharing happens around freely chosen topics and activities - defined by participating partners and collaborating community members. The program embraces a broad spectrum of themes - from music style showcases by artists of various nationalities, to women’s collective self-defense training, learning recipes, film recommendations, sustainable household and permaculture know-how, dancing together, understanding the hormonal cycle, and hands-on re- and upcycling workshops.

Would you like to share something you know, or something you love doing? Join our circle of sharers – perhaps one of your neighbors needs exactly what you bring!

We meet on the last Friday of every month at STEREO Workshop, 6:00–9:00 PM!

The program is supported by the Local Government of Budapest’s 8th District (Józsefváros).

The program takes place during the 2025/2026 theatre season with the support of the National Cultural Fund of Hungary.

Location

STEREO Workshop

STEREO Workshop is a new cultural hub and community space in Budapest’s vibrant and diverse 8th District. The Workshop is a socially engaged, community-focused, contemporary cultural center.

It’s an incubation house and meeting space, with a rehearsal hall and co-working office for all those who need a welcoming and inspiring environment for their artistic, creative or community work.

The Workshop will primarily host performing arts creative processes, but we aim to provide a home for any project with a focus on contemporary culture and community.
