David Byrne
David Byrne again in Budapest after 17 years
His career began as the founder of Talking Heads, but after the dissolution of the band, he also ran a legendary career as a solo performer, a creative, ever-volving mind of the colorful imprints of his songs. Is that what was released this year, Who Is The Sky? also his new album, which is full of hilarious and cinematic moments. David Byrne last played in Budapest in 2009, so his return to the Budapest Arena on June 18 promises to be a really special occasion.

Schedule
The new material builds on the optimistic themes of American Utopia and the accompanying tour, and is even more specifically related to the messages of the Grammy Award-winning Broadway performance and the film made from it. With this work, Byrne continues her lifelong research into the possibilities of human connection and social unity – all this against the chaotic scenery of the world. A Who Is The Sky? especially cinematic, humorous and joyful, but it also hides many lessons: that love is inexplicable, that enlightenment means something different to all people, and that it is always a good idea to hydrate – whether we wake up with baby skin the next day or not. Yet the most important feature of the songs is that Byrne continues to masterfully balance on the border of the avant-garde and the easily accommodated pop.
A Who Is The Sky? its light diversity simultaneously makes you happy and thinks about the little and big things in life. And David Byrne will now invite the Hungarian audience to this trip on June 18 to the Budapest Arena.
