Exclusive guided tour with Anna Makovecz at the exhibition Angels and Architecture | Imre Makovecz 90

Painter Anna Makovecz will give an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition Angels and Architecture | Imre Makovecz 90.

The commemorative exhibition, organized to mark the 90th anniversary of Imre Makovecz's birth, presents iconic pieces from his oeuvre and showcases Makovecz's spirit, way of thinking, and creative environment with spectacular visual and audio installations and large-scale built installations.

In addition to exhibiting the architect's drawings (not only architectural) and several smaller building models, we are also constructing a 5-meter-high model of the Church of the Resurrection, considered one of the pinnacles of his oeuvre, in the apse of the exhibition space. In the rooms, we will screen Finnish filmmaker Tapio Snellman's architectural film essays inspired by Makovecz using special AV technology, accompanied by a soundtrack composed especially for the occasion. The exhibition, organized jointly by the Makovecz Foundation and the Kunsthalle, was created based on the concept of international experts and curated by Jonathan Glancey, an English architectural writer and critic.
