Pepa, a second-rate actress, makes a living mainly from shooting commercials and doing voiceovers instead of taking on real challenges. One day, her life is turned upside down when her lover, the aging Ivan, announces that he is leaving her. As is often the case, trouble never comes alone, and soon Pepa's friend shows up. Candela seeks refuge with her because her boyfriend has turned out to be a terrorist. To top it all off, Ivan's ex-wife, the neurotic Lucia, shows up, along with their sons, Carlos and his fiancée.
