PAUSE Filmclub: Eldorádó
Screening, stop!
PAUSE Film Club is not an ordinary film club: the director of the screened film sits among the audience, holding a remote control in hand. At any moment, they can pause the screening and share thoughts, stories, and behind-the-scenes secrets with the audience—like a live audio commentary.
At the first PAUSE Film Club screening, the remote control will be in the hands of Géza Bereményi, while the cult film from 1988, Eldorádó, plays on the screen—until the director decides to pause it for a while.

Schedule
Eldorádó is a film about regime changes. Its protagonist, Monori (Károly Eperjes), the king of the Teleki Square market, who believes that “if you have gold, you have everything,” is forced to confront the fact that as time passes, systems, worldviews, and power relations all change.
