How to caress a sculpture?

In exhibition halls, touching the artworks is usually prohibited. Yet we often feel that polished, shiny stone and wood surfaces exert a special attraction on us, as if our fingers could "read" more, or at least something different, from the works than our eyes can. Even if not more, they would certainly complement the impressions gained from the visual experience, we think.

We offer the opportunity to experience this at the No Age Limit Family Day event connected to the exhibition of Pál Kő's sculptures. Although we cannot touch the exhibited works of art, we can mold our own figures out of clay and plasticine. With delicate movements, smoothing and touching, we can shape our own creatures, while the desire to create that emanates from the oeuvre permeates us—and this time, so does the opportunity to do so.

Let us take the clay in our hands, move the grains of sand around, breathe in the scent of the material, and allow the creative force to decisively or hesitantly unfold from the lump of clay the form, the creature that our hands wish to bring into being.
