Soft & Solid | exhibition & pop-up fair
Domestic design is vulnerable.
Vulnerable because our talented designers (no matter which field of the profession they work in) face challenges every single day that make their work harder. Where do I source good-quality materials? Can I find the right craftsperson, artisan, subcontractor to help me with production? How do I reach my buyers and clients—those who value and purchase the objects I create? Does anyone even care about what I make (and the kind of objects I make at all)?

Schedule
It matters to ed𝒾t.
And we believe it matters to others too.
If you’d like to better understand what it really means when an object made by a local designer is described as “unique” or “handmade,” join us at the ed𝒾tory between February 12 and 14. The Soft & Solid exhibition is essentially a rapid, three-day pop-up event where the softness of textiles, the exciting textures of ceramics, and the warm glow of lamps that bring intimacy into our homes move into the editory’s pink-floored space. Taking on the role of design interpreter, ed𝒾t is hosting outstanding Hungarian carpet, ceramic, and lighting designers (and their objects)—and of course, you too.
What programs are we preparing for you?
✽ OPENING
02.12., Thursday 18:00
Come, meet the designers and view the exhibition!
✽ WINE TASTING
02.13., Friday 19:00
You can even toast to Hungarian designers the very next day, as the Ferma team brings us a selection of special wines on Friday evening.
The program requires a ticket.
✽ DESIGN FAIR
02.14., Saturday 10:00–16:00
Help the designers carry as few objects home as possible! Swing by on Saturday, enjoy a great coffee, and pick up your favorite piece (trust us—it’s much harder to coordinate with a designer on Instagram afterward).
