Ignácz Baráznay is the imaginary protagonist of our story. He is the martyr of the Freedom Fight, known to the nation as the "Lion of Sukoró". Forty years after his unexplained death, his daughter Amália is transported back to 1848 on a strange transcendental journey, during which anything can happen, and is given a job at the imperial television station, which was already operating there. She slowly discovers that her father was not quite the idealist the nation remembers or imagines him to have been.
