The Walking Man – The Art of Walking
Walking is one of the most fundamental forms of human movement, which can transcend its practical, everyday function and be interpreted as a cultural-historical phenomenon, a means of cognition, an artistic act, and a philosophical methodology. In the 1970s, Lucius Burckhardt developed the cultural-scientific and aesthetic method of promenadology (also known as strollology or the science of walking), which aims to make people aware of the conditions of environmental perception and to expand their environmental perception.

Schedule
The exhibition examines walking as an art form, narrative device, and critical practice through the presentation of works, projects, and actions that instrumentalize the everyday act of walking as a means of discovery, exploration, resistance, and political action.
