Loud birds

In this exhibition, we arrange our paintings side by side, one above the other, and one below the other. The energies released during the painting process flow like breath, or like the song of a bird as it flits from one tree to another. We contribute to a current in which we move together. We share common human experiences with birds and other animals, such as gazing at the sky, watching the clouds drift by, and seeing how the wind shapes their forms. The painter does nothing but paint, and then stops painting, and then paints again. In the act of creation, we are part of a process preceded by continuous observation. Strength and rage are just as important in these works as concentration and calm, within which much creative energy lies hidden. We are in a state of transformation, and our feelings wait patiently for us.
