Geoff Tate, the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, is best known as the creative and driving force behind the American progressive metal band Queensrÿche: during his 30-year tenure as frontman, the band sold over 20 million albums worldwide and performed in more than fifty countries. To this day, Geoff Tate remains a recognized figure in the genre and is considered one of its most accomplished vocalists: numerous contemporary artists cite him and his former band as a defining influence. The combination of sophisticated, socially conscious lyrics and high-energy, complex, and melodic music made Queensrÿche—led by Geoff Tate—internationally renowned and “the rock band for the thinking person.”

A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
