Placebo
The iconic British band is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its debut album this year, and to mark the occasion, they have announced a re-recording of the album titled *Placebo RE:CREATED* as well as an anniversary tour, which will focus on songs from *Placebo* and *Without You I’m Nothing*. Brian Molko and his band will perform in Budapest again after 10 years, on November 13 at the Budapest Arena.

Schedule
Thirty years ago, in 1996, at the height of the Britpop era, Placebo released their breakthrough debut album, which stood in sharp contrast to the prevailing cultural mood of the time. While much of British guitar music at the time embraced a macho attitude and national identity, Placebo adopted a more provocative, confrontational tone from the very beginning. The songs dealt candidly with themes of sexuality, androgyny, addiction, and alienation—in a way rarely heard in mainstream rock at the time—making the band one of the most unique voices of its generation.
Thirty years later, Placebo returns to this seminal album with a fresh perspective on RE:CREATED. The new album features reworked and expanded versions of the original ten songs, as well as two bonus tracks from the original release. The recordings reflect how these songs have evolved over the decades and through live performances, while preserving the spirit of the original material.
