The general ambition of the Duna Art Ensemble, which goes back many years, is to lift folk dance out of the usual stage framework of the genre and create complex dance theatre performances that bear the marks of authenticity, while at the same time their innovative spirit and modernity make folk dance and folk music equal partners of contemporary theatre elements.
This is the basis of the performance of the Danube Art Ensemble "Our Love, Kalotaszeg", which evokes the special and unique features of the Kalotaszeg landscape, the wonderful purity of the air, the whimsical lines of the hills, the colourfulness of the fields and the reapers, the richness of the costumes and dances, which are unique in the world.

Duna Art Ensemble will perform an excerpt from the performance "Our Love, Kalotaszeg" with orchestral accompaniment on the terrace of the National Dance Theatre. The pre-performance programme is free of charge.
After the performance, the ensemble will give a 30-minute dance lesson.

On 15 February 2019, Budapest's unique new cultural arena opened its doors: the new National Dance Theatre in Millenáris Park. The building, equipped with the latest theatre technology and featuring unique architectural solutions, offers two theatre halls and a chamber hall for dance lovers, as well as rehearsal rooms for professional dancers. The foyer of the building will also become a community space open to visitors to the park, giving Millenáris the opportunity to become even more part of the capital's bloodstream.
