What if God sneaks into a room after lights out and the door is not left open for him? He does his work, and people suffer the consequences. Say the mayor and that young girl. No way it's Mary. Categorically Marika. At least that's what they call her at the protein plant. The plant that's all pockets, all eyes. And, of course, a bit of mud, preferably with her nose covered. After all, we all know that a decent politician is occasionally even a little disgusted by his responsibilities.
How vulnerable are we to power games - God playing man and men playing God? The Lord of the Situation is the second play by Fruzsina Dézsi, which strikes a fine balance between philosophical world drama, burlesque, theological debate drama and big-city musical hit.

Hungarian is the protein processor, Hungarian is the worker, Hungarian is the mayor, Hungarian is the company manager, Hungarian is Marika, who supports her father, and even God listens to Szécsi Pál. Heaven and earth come together - in our case, the latter is not too far from hell - because while the characters of the play are trying to survive in a paradise world of a scorcher, God himself is looking to this place as the site of a new, more successful redemption.
Csaba Polgár, actor, director. He graduated from the University of Theatre and Film Arts in the music class of Tamás Ascher and Eszter Novák. After university, he signed a contract with the Örkény István Theatre, but was also a founding member of the internationally successful HOPPart Company. Currently, in addition to her work as an actor and director, she is the artistic director of the Örkény Studio. In addition to his Hungarian engagements, he has also been commissioned to work abroad, most recently in 2021 at the Kaunas Drama Theatre in Lithuania, where he staged Ibsen's Peer Gynt.
Fruzsina Dézsi is a playwright, theatre aesthetician and a permanent collaborator of TÁP Theatre. She graduated as a playwright from the University of Arts in Târgu Mures in the class of Mária Albert and Péter Kárpáti. He has participated twice in the drama development programme of the Guild of Theatre Dramatists, the Open Forum, and his most recent work was published in 2022 in the Karaffa volume, which was awarded the Contemporary Hungarian Drama Prize.
Jurányi House
The Jurányi Production Community Incubator House has become a key venue in the capital's cultural life, a vibrant hub of the contemporary art scene.
Our aim in creating the Jurányi was to find a stable, shared home for the independent theatre and creative arts sector, providing the infrastructure necessary for its day-to-day operations. We wanted to create a cultural centre in the Buda area, a "contemporary art house" where theatre-loving young people could spend a few hours over a coffee or even a theatre performance, a creative children's activity or an acrobatic movement class, thus re-filling the abandoned educational institution with an active community life.
Jurányi is more than just a theatre in Buda, it is a creative and creative base where visitors can enjoy a varied artistic, community, and educational program, in addition to a regular repertoire of 300 productions a year. We are proud that the Jurányi House is now a graduation subject in some art schools.
