The play brings to the stage a unique and unique Hungarian adaptation of a pivotal period in the life of Sándor Petőfi.
The focus is not on the 1848 War of Independence and Petőfi's central role in it, but on the passionate love between him and Júlia Szendrey, who, as the first "celebrities" of the reform era, wrote themselves into history as the most famous love couple.

The performance takes a modern approach, in which the rhythm of the scenes is much closer to the visual culture of today's young generation, to the dynamics of Insta- and TikTokon. The innovative stage solutions are made unforgettable by catchy tunes and popular Hungarian artists - Barbara Schoblocher, Márk Ember, Viki Staub, Mátyás Tóth.

Erkel Theatre
Az Erkel Színház, Népopera néven 1911. december 7-én nyitotta meg kapuit. A többször is átalakított épület 1951 és 2007, valamint 2013 óta a Magyar Állami Operaház második játszóhelyeként funkcionál.
