Design history lecture and re-sewing workshop

Oct
21

Schedule

In our workshop, you can make a new napkin with the help of the Linen Bag Girl, and not just any napkin! The screen-printed textile used as the material for the napkin was made for a previous event, our summer retro DELI&DESIGN fair organised in collaboration with the Miksa Róth Memorial House and Collection, in the Printa workshop, based on designs by Zsófi Perger. The material is pure nostalgia, full of illustrations of dishes that remind us of our childhood. We decided to give the textile a second life and we are asking for your help. Come and let's make a new sandwich together!

The sewing workshop will be led by the Linen Bag Girl.

In the first half hour of the workshop, you will hear a brief history of design, interpreted by design theorist Kitti Mayer, on how we have moved from the idea of the Frankfurt kitchen to contemporary kitchens that take sustainability as a basic principle.
