Schedule
Songwriter András Nemes has been writing and performing his songs with the PLUTO band for almost two decades.
This year, however, the project has been reborn - with a new line-up, a new show, a new sound and a new album. They form a trio with a unique and unusual line-up in alternative rock: baritone saxophone-baritone guitar-drums. Our unique sound album was released on 18 September under the title Unknown Hungarian Poet.
Their music is a mix of rockabilly pulsation and repetitive alternative rock of the '90s. Fast and rock and roll, at times reminiscent of the "low rock" sound of the late band Morphine. Most of the lyrics have a particular protagonist, like a short story. They're already in the lyrics - The Unknown Hungarian Poet, The Barmaid, Lucifer, Áron Bujdosó - but these interludes, walking, outsider metropolitan characters pop up in the other songs too.
The album is a kind of Budapest tabloid, with cool, storytelling stories.
András Nemes - vocals, guitar
