Feldmár Filmklub: The First Two
For the fifth year now, we have met you with unbreakable enthusiasm and talked to you after the film.

Schedule
On Friday, November 17, 2023, at 20:15 p.m., we will meet in person at the Bem cinema, where we will continue the 2023/2024 season. For the fifth year now, we have met you with unbreakable enthusiasm and talked to you after the film. We are waiting for you in the autumn with a lot of new movies and real conversations!
After the film, the conversation will be with us from the Feldmár Institute: bibliotherapist Huszár Annamari, Krámli Andris, László Gál, Váradi Csilla, Andrea Heves, host of the November month: actress Mari Kőszegi. Or comes the film director, Szövényi-Lux Balázs, one of the main characters of the film Bergendi Barnabás and Skublics Gergő from the stash!
We get into “a pretty good little film club” where we can be selected from Mozinet’s offer so that no one has to be competent here. Just let us be influenced... then sit down and tell us about our impressions, our thoughts, our feelings... listen to others... get inspired. Will it have anything to do with these works? Will they be lovable or disgusting? Or are they leaving us ignorant and foolish?” by Alexa
In the aftermath of the film screenings, staff and guests of the Feldmár Institute will also participate. None of us are experts, film gurus or film critics. Based on our personal attachment, our involvement, our attraction for the subject, we came together around a movie to be a conversation partner.
If you call something while reading a short summary of the film, touched the topic, or you like to talk, not yet, you are just curious about what will come out of it, then we are looking forward to it. You don’t have to be a film tester, if you talk about yourself and your experiences with us, it will be enough. We will do exactly the same.

The first two
English-language black-and-white romantic film
(The First Two - in English with Hungarian subtitles)
A long-distance relationship between an American girl and a Hungarian boy takes an unexpected turn when their planned marriage suddenly fails. The couple have one day to decide on their future relationship. They know that the distance between them will soon increase to thousands of kilometers. In the rush of the last day, they cling to a dream picture in which they are the first two people to love each other at the beginning of time – while the family lunch is gone from the table, the suitcase is filled, and the time for the plane to take off is near.
The first two were featured in romantic relationships such as Frances Ha. The first two were translated from microbudgets, mostly in English. His director and screenwriter, Szövényi-Lux Balázs, studied communication at the Peter Pázmány Catholic University and then at the University of Edinburgh. With his short film Katapult, he has won several international awards, including two in the 37th. The Chicago International Children's Film Festival. This is the first luxurious movie. The title comes from asking what would have happened if the two characters in the film had been the first two people to fall in love at the beginning of history.

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
