SUB.LAB.PRO (Mészáros Máté): Cells within cells
The 10 dancers of SUB.LAB.PRO work in close collaboration with the choreographer, dancing in a theatrical capacity in the strictest sense of the word. Showcasing a wide range of physical abilities, the performers take a stance on the role of dance in their personal and collective futures.
Schedule
The theme of the performance is pure dance. The performance does not deal with political, moral or aesthetic problems, as the creators most sincerely wish.
Máté Mészáros graduated from the Hungarian Dance Academy in 1999. After three years at the Szeged Contemporary Ballet, he worked with various European companies - Carte Blanche (Norway), Lanònima Imperial (Spain), Última Vez (Belgium).
He is a regular guest choreographer for various European dance and theatre companies and teaches partnering extensively. Pushing the boundaries of physicality, Mészáros considers the body as a structural phenomenon in hischoreographies.
