Ball, or the dancing party - Bozsik Yvette Company
The first part of the work, which could be set in a ballroom, provides a great opportunity for a grotesque and humorous portrayal of human characters. Dances, waltzes and tangos in different styles bring to life desires and unfulfilled dreams.
The mood of the second part is much more elevated and poetic. The space is reminiscent of an ocean beach, where the former dancers of the ballroom present their own personal destinies, dancing away their loneliness and the various unrepeatable moments of their lives. The atmosphere of the piece is set by the music, which gives a taste of the most important musical movements of the 20th century, from jazz to chanson, from classical to modern music.
National Dance Theatre
On 15 February 2019, Budapest's unique new cultural arena opened its doors: the new National Dance Theatre in Millenáris Park. The building, equipped with the latest theatre technology and featuring unique architectural solutions, offers two theatre halls and a chamber hall for dance lovers, as well as rehearsal rooms for professional dancers. The foyer of the building will also become a community space open to visitors to the park, giving Millenáris the opportunity to become even more part of the capital's bloodstream.
