Everyone in the world is supposed to have a doppelganger. And Director Chandebise is a proper gentleman if there are two of him. His wife gets suspicious and sets him up. Chandebise gets suspicious and sends his best friend to replace him. And the friend is secretly the wife's hopeful lover. They fall into each other's arms at the dubious Hotel Núma, but an unexpected rendezvous turns into a nightmare when Chandebise turns up. From two directions at once. The hotel is in uproar, and they immediately run into each other, who are not supposed to meet. Beds roll over walls of rooms, everyone flees in a frenzy to and from each other in the indescribable confusion.

The farce: the backhand of tragedy. It tells the story, laughable to the point of tears, of what you look like and what you want to look like. Fortunately, that's not us - just the others.

Length of performance: 160 min

Number of breaks: 2

Location

Thália Theatre

In the Thália Theatre, the focus is on light-hearted entertainment, in the spirit of the "Pest Broadway" of Nagymező Street. The Thália Winter Garden, inaugurated in 2019, is a little more serious, while the Arizona Studio is home to independent productions. In 2017, the capital reaffirmed its confidence in the management, with Gábor Kálomista applying for the post of managing director and Géza Bereményi as an advisor.
